We are pleased to announce the launch of NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS, an umbrella group created to unite all VOLUNTARY red squirrel conservation groups and individuals. Our aims are openness, collaboration and cooperation.

As you may be aware, VOLUNTARY ACTION is KEY to red squirrel conservation. NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS aim to provide a voice and support for volunteers.

Central to NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS is its website and interactive map, set up to indicate voluntary groups across the north. CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE: www.northernredsquirrels.co.uk

We already have many groups across the north involved and aim to 'close the gaps'. We are committed to saving the red squirrel and believe the only way to do this is with cordinated 'grass roots' action. NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS is committed to cooperation among volunteers and to liaise and work alongside the funded groups (SOS and RSPP,ESI). We believe the only way forward is UNITED ACTION.

WE INVITE ALL VOLUNTEERS TO JOIN US. WE ARE COMPLETELY VOLUNTARY, FREE OF CHARGE. ANY GROUPS/INDIVIDUALS (GROUPS CAN BE ONE-MAN-BANDS) BECOMING PART OF NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS WILL RETAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE, BUT HAVE THE BACK UP AND SUPPORT OF NORTHERN RED SQUIRRELS.
