I am in favour of organisations such as yours who are reducing the numbers of Grey Squirrels. I live in an area where there are no Reds, but over the past three and one half years I have killed 78 Grey Squirrels in my garden.
I am annoyed by the existence of the following organisation;
http://www.squirrels.info/about.htm
I have written to DEFRA several times in the hope that they would use their powers to have them shut down. But DEFRA say they cannot do anything, it is up to the police. DEFRA said that they had contacted police, but nothing has happened. DEFRA infer that I should contact police myself. However, I am afraid that some Animal Rights organisation might attack me should I publicly attack the "squirrels.info" organisation.
I'm interested in what other readers think about this.

Ha ha, you took the words out of my mouth. If I lived down there I'd volunteer to be a driver. ... and to obey all applicable laws of course!
Only in this country could the government arm responsible for watching out for countryside matters ignore a group with the express intention of breaching conservation law!
